Even though I did not go with my typical “All your cake are belong to Celestia” setup, I am horribly, horribly, biased towards loving this picture, and will steal it when I publish.

I'm fairly certain all these pen(?) drawings are done by the same person. That being said, I think the perspective is actually more successful in this image than some others. The cake on the right doesn't follow the same perspective, but the cake on the left works.

Celestia's face is real good here.

I love how her smile is only at the corners of her mouth, as if she's trying to suppress it. Would have loved to see her wings as well, but I do think her face alone is enough to sell the piece. Also, a random thought: until I saw this picture, I never really realized that Celestia wears her crown behind her horn, rather than over it.

Good expression and conveys part of the story without struggle. Again, I wish you’d finished it. Now we know where all the color in 37th View comes from.

You are correct.

the cruel irony is that I carefully planned out the perspective for both cakes, and then unintentionally ruined the right cake by adding details that obscured its form and made it look all wrong. I couldn't think of a clean way to fix it, so I simply hoped no one would notice! Maybe I should've filled it in and pretended it's chocolate.

Also, it is amazing that you did pictures for everyone. I know some probably suffered from the time constraints and the number of stories, but most were fantastic.
