I love how the colours drip off Sunset and down the page. I'm sure I could make a deep interpretation of how this relates to how drained she feels after her breakup with Twiggles, but I think that's pretty self-explanatory. I think I would've liked for you to do a bit more with those washed out colours, maybe blend them together as they rech the bottom of the page, or have a subtle purple~ish tint. There was potential for taking things further and deepening the strength of the drawing, but I liked it nonetheless.

This one is my top slater without a doubt.

First reason, the execution is awesome.
I'm not sure but I believe it's the first time we have a watercolours painting, and while many may think it's not really painting, this one should prove them wrong.

Second reason, it made me feel what I didn't feel from the story it is based on.
I could recognise what I was supposed to feel, but, I don't know why, I didn't. But this painting here, holy crap, it's powerful.

I will disagree a bit with >>Zaid Val'Roa on the washed colours (mainly because of matter of taste). I think having them clearly separated is more effective than blending them together. However, I do agree with the lack of purple. I think Twilight should be present in this picture one way or another.

But anyway, great job, author, you did great for me. And yes, we have so many good artists this round (I'm glad art rounds are back again).

The artists were here; they were just busy writing stories instead of drawing for a while. :)

Who thinks painting with watercolours is not really painting?

And rounding out a full art review set with my top contender.

Again, knows what it wants to do, aims high, and hits. I do have a nitpick or two — primarily fixing that white blotch on the figure's leg — but this edged out Tramonto for me based on the depth of emotion evoked. The bleeding effect of the watercolors down the page is a great use of the specific qualities of the chosen medium. The wall and coffee cup throw the pic just enough out of symmetry that it keeps the eye wandering, and the sharpness of the face is great contrast to the bleed of the colors. Well done, and good luck.

Hi! I just wanted to say that I loved this piece. It really evokes the feelings I was shooting for when I wrote the story, and it looks great!

I would love to use this art for when I post the story to FIMFiction, but not without your permission and somewhere to link to you for credit. If you're okay with that, let me know, and if not, no hard feelings.
