What went up, what went down
I caught a painted pony on the spinning wheel ride,
I told that silly pony it should go and wash its hide.
It shoved a bridle in my mouth, it brayed and leaped astride
My back, and then it rode me off across the countryside!
"Why do this?" I soon sputtered out, it answered with a neigh,
"My reasoning is circular, for turnabout's fair play!"

I don't recall the lyrics to "Spinning Wheel" enough to know how much of this is a riff on it, but the beginning at least appears to be. The structural stuff all works well, and it's a silly thing about someone trying to ride a pony only to have the pony ride him instead.
