There was this merchant's Son
not the Merchant them-self
That was trying to Figure out
how to Make his mark on the world

he Failed, and then died...

Though before he died he sired a Daughter
so the merchant's son's daughter Set out
To make her Place in the world
her Plan was all ready to go

she Failed, and was murdered...

Truthfully it was her Cat
which set in Motion a plan which
Tweaked a set of Circumstances
in that it Gain wealth off these demises

it didn't Fail, and the demon left it's body...

So this demon was really the Merchant
who's action got the Son of the merchant
Got the Daughter of the son of the merchant
who was a disguised Cat of the daughter of

You get the idea...

Demises though Demise
Like grasping a nasty chain Letter
Reading silently instead of speaking this Ritual
Spells your doom most Swiftly

… you're dead now and I'm a bit richer.

There's kind of a cool vibe to this. Though I'm feeling a bit of disconnect between the narrative and the framing device. I understand the story, but then the demon seems to be saying I'm a part of this story, maybe one of the characters, and I'm not really sure how. A few minor editing things. This is teasing around the edges of a cool concept. I see some literal use of the prompt, but I don't know if there's a pattern. I can't find one in the choice of which words to capitalize, and the prompt might suggest flipping that, but in this case, I don't think it would change anything. So if there is an intent behind the capitalizations, it went over my head.
