"I have to wonder, is this the first story that was written knowing it would probably be outdated before the judging even ended?"

>>Nicktendonick

"That's running on the assumption that the episode ends with the three of them not friends. My gut tells me that whatever problems do happen, Equestria's sugarbowl nature will win out and they're gonna patch it up and be friends or on good terms by episode's end."
----------------------
Woot, for once, I called it. (apologies for the gloat, I don't know when I'll ever get the chance to do this again.)

As the author of TrixGlam, I'm honestly quite delighted with my results. People actually enjoyed my story. I suppose it means I'm improving, or at least, I can be funny.

I actually spent the week going over it and nearly doubled it in size. You can take this link here to TrixGlam 2.0. (It'll be up soon, pass is TrixGlam)

I wonder what you guys think of it, and also I do wonder in the terms of what ifs, how this version would have done in the writeoff compared to how I did.

I feel weird on this entry. Half of me wants to abandon it because I stupid'd out and waited till the final hours, the rest of me feels like I really ought to say this. I just wish I had more time... and my editor to take a look at this.

Plus, the second half of it has to be completely cut, mostly because of word count. Instead what I hoped it's just a punchline.

...eh, still works I suppose.

Welp! I did mine.

I can't believe I did it, but I did it. Very little editing, 3 am, and no editor and very little overview.

...let's hope I did it... "Write"

...

...I'm gonna go to bed now. (Good luck everyone!)

I'm with you on that one. I quite enjoyed Trade. I honestly came out of that one thinking that Pinkie might not have made a deal and found her own way to move on. Like you said, the ending says something happened, but not exactly what.

Thumbs up.

That's running on the assumption that the episode ends with the three of them not friends. My gut tells me that whatever problems do happen, Equestria's sugarbowl nature will win out and they're gonna patch it up and be friends or on good terms by episode's end. I assume that's the author's guess too. That or he's running on the Trixie/Starlight hype train like a... well, rabid shipper.

Also, I didn't see the romance angle you guys saw. I kinda thought more friendshipping then anything else, but *shrugs* As I said below, not everything is written is interpreted as the person who wrote it intended. *shrugs*

Also, I've been reading the entries and has been lazy / preoccupied to getting around to writing actual critiques of them. While I know I don't need to, I feel as I should.

Miracle and Trade were really good, TrixGlam was fun and did what it needed to do (be funny), and Only, Only, Only you is, definitely unique among writeoff entries. Seriously, As Obscure said, 2000 words of 7-8 syllable couplets. Impressive.

When the contest is over I really want to know what made you want to try that.

Speaking of unique... If, Admist the Flames, a pony. I will admit, it kinda confused me. Not everyone will be able to see the Meta you intend when you go full meta-story like that. I remember my editor (Who I showed it to) called it pretentious, but I disagree. I enjoyed the segments and the meta-nature of the story, even if I didn't completely get the meta part that tied the whole thing together. Good work.

Like quite a few, I didn't think I'd have time as well. Helped throw a surprise birthday party today. The thing went off without a hitch, it was pretty awesome.

I didn't think I was gonna be joining this time until I ended up talking to my editor/buddy IJR and together in 90-100 minutes we managed to write out an entry. I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised at myself for this one.

It's submitted and done, and good luck to everyone else.

Keep writing!

Actually, I have a very silly story in mind. I'd go into details but then it'd give me away.

Just because it's a struggle doesn't mean it needs to be, and it can be a situation involving idiots who are stubborn and won't learn their lesson (and hence, their ridiculous struggle will never end).

"Ryoga, let me just take you home. You have no sense of direction."
"NO! I must forge this path myself! Noone else can do this for me!"

cue to hours later, Now dark, sitting alone without Ryoga there.

"...goddamn Ryoga."

(Meanwhile, Ryoga got lost and wound up in equestria...somehow.)

Why didn't we write this earlier?

Well I fear my laptop might be busted.

...shit. Gonna have to pass on this one.
