The wind encircled me and snatched my hat right off my head As if it felt the old straw thing fit would fit it well instead. And so it danced about the block, the brim whirled proudly high Around the roofs and over walls and gusting towards the sky. I danced and leaped and waved my arms around the promenade, 'Til pity it did take on me, and tempered its charade, And with an air of nonchalance set my poor boater free And as I snatched it up it sighed and took its leave of me.
