I don't know about you, but this is not at all "Rising From the Ashes" for me.

...I guess this is Bulk Biceps, maybe?

Those things don't look very much like treetops to me.

What's that 'nah' supposed to be about?

Okay, this is a quick doodle. At least the character is recognizable.

I get the joke, though. Those look like ash leaves. He’s “rising from the ashes.”

Cute, but upper tier? Nah.

I would not have gotten the joke without >>GroaningGreyAgony.

I think the "Nah" is just there to give authors something extra to work with. If it was supposed to be anything other than that, I'm missing it.

The worst thing about this is that the alliteration in the title doesn't actually work.

This will probably end up somewhere in the middle of my slate.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that my other (admittedly very minor) problem with this is that I think you have a bit too much sky up at the top. It's fine on mobile, but on my computer, I get basically an entire screen of cloud.

I really like this. Has a very Gary Larson-vibe.

This is really simplistic, more like a panel from a comic. The take on the ashes is great, though. Might've worked as prompt for some... maybe Bulk Biceps is alergic? ^^

Hover the mouse near the word "nah" in the picture and this becomes one of those Magic Eye posters. Hours of cross-eyed fun. 11/10

Tiptree Through the Toetops

This was the last piece I did for this art round, and was a real “dash it off in five minutes” kind of effort. I thought the pun was worth making, even if it was a bit obscure (and I later felt the need to explain it).

I follow Estee in preferring the name “Snowflake” for this character, but whatever. I made him say “Nah” just as an inversion of his usual catchphrase, with no deeper meaning intended.

Dubs, thanks for the flattering comparison. Horizon, I know you’re joking here, but sometimes I do employ optical trickery.
